# Andhra Pradesh

> Andhra Pradesh residents often meet the word Aadhaar inside MeeSeva or the rice-card system. Those are separate workflows, and choosing the wrong counter can waste a visit.

## Three routes that sound alike
Need | Correct starting point |
Change Aadhaar mobile, biometrics or a centre-only field | An authorised Aadhaar enrolment/update centre |
Use a MeeSeva service described as “Know Aadhaar”, e-KYC or seeding | A participating MeeSeva centre; ask which departmental record is affected |
Rice-card or PDS authentication problem | The Andhra Pradesh AePDS/rice-card support route, not an assumption that Aadhaar itself is wrong |

## What the state’s own service page establishes

The Konaseema district page lists Aadhaar daily-enrolment data, e-KYC, “Know & Seed Aadhaar” and “Know Your Aadhaar” among MeeSeva services. UIDAI’s current guidance separately routes mobile-number and biometric changes through an authorised physical centre. Read together, the sources show why “available through MeeSeva” does not mean that every UIDAI record can be edited at every MeeSeva counter.

## A practical visit checklist

- Name the exact field or service that has failed.
- Ask whether the counter is an authorised Aadhaar station or only facilitating a state service.
- For a rice-card issue, note the ration-card number and the authentication error separately.
- For an Aadhaar transaction, insist on the UIDAI acknowledgement and verify the entered data before leaving.

The district page demonstrates why the word “Aadhaar” can describe several MeeSeva functions. It does not say that every counter can perform every UIDAI update.

- 1 Official district source The state and district identity are visible in the page header.
- 2 Service context The page says the following services are provided through MeeSeva.
- 3 Mixed functions Daily data, e-KYC, seeding and “Know Aadhaar” are listed; these are not all record-correction transactions.
