# Jammu & Kashmir > Jammu & Kashmir’s Information Technology Department publishes separate lists for banks, post offices, Anganwadis and schools—evidence that Aadhaar access is spread across several operating networks rather than one universal counter. For transactions, current rules and final verification, use the official UIDAI or myAadhaar service linked by the article. ## Choose the network for the person The IT Department’s notice board links designated banks and post offices for enrolment or update, and separate designated Anganwadi and school lists. These lists explain the administration model, but some documents are historical. Verify the chosen location through UIDAI and the institution before visiting. ## Child routes need age-specific confirmation An Anganwadi or school facility may be organised for child enrolment or mandatory biometric updates, not for all adult corrections. Ask whether the child’s age group is included and whether a parent or guardian must attend. Use UIDAI’s current document rules, not an old school circular, for the final checklist. ## Keep welfare continuity separate A 2026 J&K notification describes alternatives while an eligible beneficiary is waiting for Aadhaar and remedial methods where authentication fails. That does not remove Aadhaar rules for every programme; it shows that departments must apply the exception mechanism written for the relevant benefit. Take a scheme denial to that department, and take an Aadhaar request rejection to UIDAI.
