# Lakshadweep > Lakshadweep’s public portal does not publish a trustworthy island-by-island Aadhaar timetable. The useful local information is its island administration and post-office directory, which residents can use to verify a UIDAI locator result before travelling. For transactions, current rules and final verification, use the official UIDAI or myAadhaar service linked by the article. ## Why this page does not copy a mainland-style list The Administration directory identifies island-level BDO and deputy-collector contacts, while the public-utilities section lists post offices on Agatti, Amini, Andrott, Chetlat, Kadmat, Kalpeni, Kavaratti, Kiltan and Minicoy. India Post can be part of the Aadhaar network, but the existence of a post office is not proof that its Aadhaar equipment is active. ## Verify on the island first - Use UIDAI’s live search for the island or PIN code. - Ask the island administration or post office whether the service is active and whether an appointment is required. - Confirm the exact transaction; child enrolment or updates may run on scheduled days. - Do not undertake boat or flight travel solely because an old search result names a centre. ## Keep other digital identities separate The Lakshadweep homepage links health-ID creation using a mobile number or Aadhaar. A health ID is a different identifier and system. Creating or correcting it does not update Aadhaar, and an Aadhaar error must still be handled through UIDAI.
