PM-KISAN | The official portal states that e-KYC is mandatory for registered farmers and supports OTP, biometric and face-authentication routes. | Aadhaar/e-KYC does not by itself establish landholding or other scheme eligibility. Check [PM-KISAN](https://pmkisan.gov.in/KnowAboutEKYC.aspx). |
One Nation One Ration Card / NFSA | Aadhaar authentication is used for national ration-card portability through ePoS in the ONORC system. | Entitlement remains under NFSA/state ration-card rules. Authentication failure and grievance handling must follow official food-department procedures; start at [NFSA](https://dfpd.gov.in/distribution-of-food-grains/en). |
AB PM-JAY | General beneficiary identification material permits Aadhaar or an alternative government ID in specified flows. | The separate 70+ senior-citizen enrolment route requires Aadhaar-based e-KYC. Do not apply that rule to every PM-JAY flow. |
DBT / APBS | DBT is the broad policy of transferring benefits directly. Aadhaar Payment Bridge is one possible Aadhaar-seeded payment rail. | A DBT payment is not automatically an APBS payment. Scheme and bank-account requirements must be checked separately. |

## A safe way to check a benefit

- Open the scheme’s own central/state portal—not a third-party “Aadhaar linking” site.
- Confirm eligibility first; Aadhaar authentication does not create entitlement.
- Read the current e-KYC, alternate-ID and authentication-failure process.
- Use the scheme’s grievance channel if a valid beneficiary is denied because authentication fails.
