Gujarat has a distinctive child-focused Aadhaar channel through Women & Child Development: selected Anganwadi infrastructure is used for early-age enrolment and mandatory biometric work.
Why an Anganwadi may be the right first call
Gujarat’s Women & Child Development Department says it has acted as an Aadhaar registrar since 2016 and deployed block-level kits and operators. Its published initiative focuses on children aged 0–5 and adolescent girls, with enrolment or mandatory biometric activity through Anganwadis.
Check the child’s age and transaction
Under five
Ask whether the local Anganwadi is currently scheduling child enrolment and which parent/guardian and birth documents are required under UIDAI’s current list.
After age five
The first mandatory biometric update needs fingerprints, iris and photograph. Confirm that the scheduled kit supports the full transaction.
General adult work
Do not assume the child-focused WCD channel handles every adult update; use the UIDAI locator for another authorised station.

The WCD initiative page establishes who the programme is designed to reach. It is not a live appointment calendar. Parents should confirm the date locally and then use UIDAI’s current document schedule, especially where a child’s birth date or relationship evidence is involved.
