Reading the national figures

UIDAI’s 30 June 2026 report lists a projected 2026 population of 1,42,46,96,577; 1,44,80,05,767 raw Aadhaar numbers assigned; and 1,34,76,52,046 estimated live Aadhaar numbers. The displayed 94.59% rate uses estimated-live Aadhaar against projected population.

The first Aadhaar number was issued on 29 September 2010 in Nandurbar, Maharashtra.
