Jharkhand now has an advanced UIDAI-run Aadhaar Seva Kendra at Kantatoli in Ranchi, while additional district centres were announced for phased rollout. A launch announcement is useful evidence, but it is not a live roster for every district.
The advanced Ranchi centre
UIDAI’s 6 March 2026 release identifies the advanced ASK at Estate Plaza, Kantatoli, Ranchi. It provides enrolment and update services and has separate counters for persons with disabilities, senior citizens and pregnant women, plus a feeding room. That is current official evidence for the Ranchi facility—not permission to infer the same facilities at every centre.
Planned district expansion is not an opening notice
The release says new ASKs would be established in eleven more districts in phases, including Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Giridih and Deoghar. “Will be established” does not prove that a named district centre is open today. Use UIDAI’s locator and confirm the operator, address and service before travelling.
JharSewa is a different system
The Jharkhand state portal links both JharSewa and e-Aadhaar. A resident may use Aadhaar to identify themselves in a certificate or welfare application, but JharSewa does not thereby become an Aadhaar correction portal. Preserve the state application number and the UIDAI request number separately.
If authentication fails at a benefit counter
Jharkhand scheme notifications describe a sequence that can include iris or face authentication, OTP/TOTP, and QR verification of the physical Aadhaar letter where appropriate. These are departmental remedial mechanisms. Ask the scheme officer to apply the notified exception instead of repeatedly attempting a fingerprint that is known to fail.
The former Jharkhand GIS layer is no longer used as evidence here. A dated UIDAI launch release plus live local confirmation is safer than an undated map pin.
What the government page actually shows
The release confirms the Ranchi centre and describes planned phased expansion. Planned districts are not treated as open until a current locator or local office confirms them.
