Nagaland

Nagaland’s access picture changed in July 2026 when the state’s first UIDAI-run Aadhaar Seva Kendra opened in Dimapur, alongside district offices, departments and CSC channels already doing enrolment work.

A new full-service option in Dimapur

Nagaland DIPR reports that the Aadhaar Seva Kendra at Purana Bazar opened on 3 July 2026, can process up to 250 requests a day and offers enrolment, demographic, mobile/email and biometric services. The release gives the address, seven-day schedule except public holidays and an official appointment route.

Outside Dimapur

The Commissioner’s office is the state registrar and describes enrolment agencies under district, subdivision and circle administrative offices. Nagaland’s IT department also lists Aadhaar enrolment and updating among CSC services. Availability still varies, so confirm a specific district office or CSC before visiting.

A child-specific channel is expanding

In March 2026, the Economics & Statistics Department opened a Baal Aadhaar counter in Kohima for ages 0–5 and said district-office expansion was under process. “Under process” is not the same as “open”: parents should check the current district status and then follow UIDAI’s latest child-document rules.

A July news release mentioned a temporary free-MBU deadline. Because such waivers expire or change, this article links UIDAI’s live fee notice instead of repeating the deadline as a permanent rule.
