Puducherry
Puducherry’s Planning and Research Department maintains a dated UID project page and, unusually, published a new permanent-centre list entry in April 2026. That dated register is more useful than the widely indexed 2015 PDF.
Use the 2026 register, not the 2015 search result
The UID project page lists “Aadhaar Permanent Enrolment Centres functioning in UT of Puducherry” dated 15 April 2026. An older government page and PDF from 2015 still appear in search engines. This guide links the project register so residents can see the date and later notices in context.
Four regions require local confirmation
A UT-wide list may include Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam. Check the region heading, address and date, then verify through UIDAI. A facility in a government hospital or commune building can change hours or equipment without the PDF URL changing.
Understand the nodal role
The Planning and Research Department says it is the nodal department for Aadhaar enrolment and publishes UID implementation committee material. That makes it an appropriate source for the state-side centre register. UIDAI remains authoritative for documents, fees, request status and correction limits.
If the 2026 attachment fails to download or appears empty, use the project-page entry as the official trail, then confirm the centre through UIDAI or the department rather than falling back to the 2015 roster.
What the government page actually shows
The page provides a dated 15 April 2026 permanent-centre document. The linked register should still be checked before travel because operating status can change.
- 1Responsible department
The Planning and Research Department publishes the UT UID page.
- 2Programme context

Puducherry data snapshot
The figures below come from UIDAI’s state/UT saturation report. They provide context for coverage; they do not identify a live centre or prove that every resident record is current.
UIDAI refreshes this report PDF in place. The figures on this page reflect the report dated 30 June 2026; the current UIDAI link may show a newer or older edition. Open the archived 30 June 2026 edition.
| Measure | Value |
|---|---|
| Projected population (2026) | 14,19,504 |
| Estimated live Aadhaar | 14,37,415 |
| Saturation | 101.26% |
| Data date | 30 Jun 2026 |
Rates can exceed 100% because UIDAI’s estimated-live count and projected population are produced from different administrative/demographic bases.
