Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu publishes a concrete ELCOT permanent-enrolment model: centres in collectorates, corporations, municipalities and other government offices, with the Aadhaar services they are designed to perform.

Where ELCOT centres are placed

The state IT Department says ELCOT operates permanent enrolment centres across district collectorates, corporation headquarters and zones, municipalities, revenue and block offices, town panchayats and a PF office. Because the page also lists the service set, it is stronger evidence than a private map pin.

The published service set

The centres are described as handling enrolment, mandatory biometric updates at ages five and fifteen, demographic update, Aadhaar search/print, lost EID and child enrolment. Residents should still check the current centre and fee because the page’s counts and pricing can lag operational changes.

e-Sevai is nearby, but not identical

Tamil Nadu’s GIS dashboard maps e-Sevai centres. An e-Sevai location can help with state digital services, yet only an Aadhaar-enabled centre should accept a UIDAI enrolment or biometric transaction. Confirm the operator and insist on a UIDAI acknowledgement.

For a municipal centre, identify the exact office—not only the municipality name. Large corporations can have multiple zonal counters with different daily availability.

The ELCOT page supports Tamil Nadu’s permanent-centre model. Because the page includes historical operational wording, current availability must still be confirmed.
